Carsten Islington's stories from his life is interwoven with statements
from his parents - commenting on his life. But Carsten made it - even he had no official papers on the bike. He had painted the numberplates himself, and when the boarder police between France and Algier wanted documents for the bike, he gave them his birthcertificate. When they asked who the other names on the document were, Carsten explained that it was the people who were insured to ride on the back of the bike. The boarder guard stamped all over his birthcertificate and Carsten continued his drive to the oil company in the desert of Sahara. When he finally arrived, they were just packing and leaving for the season ... |
